Content: well, there’s a lot to read here as you update everyday. All your entries contain a lot of detail, from what you’ve been doing, to how that makes you feel, to how you feel in general. It told me about your life as well as about you and your thoughts – that’s the kind of diary I like. I found myself interested in your life, intrigued by what you had to say. You talk a lot about psychology, which makes sense, as that’s your college major. You also talk a lot about Joseph, and sometimes it may get a bit tedious hearing about how much you love him, but maybe I’m just jealous of your relationship. It’s not too much, anyway. I could relate to you here, when you talked about the teenagers at the party you went to and how they acted and how you just didn’t fit in. At 16, I’m surrounded by people like that all the time, and I don’t fit in at all.
I’ve found it’s a lot easier to write a long review of a diary I dislike than one that I like. There were many entries that I just really enjoyed reading. Sometimes I felt a little overwhelmed by the amount of Joseph related entries, but clearly he’s an important part of your life right now. Also, sometimes you talk about insignificant things you’ve been doing, but there is so much depth and substance to your entries, I was never bored. Keep writing! (19/20)
Layout: It’s black and white, with a picture of two people. I’m not a big fan of black and white layouts, especially ones with black backgrounds, but this one is nicely organized and is neither cluttered and crowded nor too empty. All the links work and everything is so organized – you have no idea how much I love organized diaries. I also like the pattern on the side where the links are – it adds something to the design. Even though it’s simple, and I don’t love the colors or the picture, it looks good, and it is your template, so as long as you like it, it’s great. (28/30)
