Username: It made me think of "Wait For Me" by Rebecca St. James. And surprise, surprise! That's why you chose it! While I'm not crazy about the music, the lyrics have a great message. It was refreshing to find a diarist with morals. I would probably click if I saw it. (5/5)
Title: Definitely goes with the layout. It also seems to suit your goal-oriented, motivated writing. (5/5)
Content: I hate to say it, but you really seem like a mini-me. Or me four years ago. I started here after reading all your extras, and I instantly felt like I was 14 again. Gah. Don't stress so much about boys. You've heard it many times I'm sure. But the thing that affected me the most was that someday you will get married and spend the rest of your life with that one man. Enjoy your alone time while you have it.
And never use boys to make yourself feel better. I'm glad you realize that girls who do are merely trying to cover their insecurities. But don't fall into that trap. No guy will ever make you feel totally secure. Confidence comes from within.
This was my 8th grade experience all over again. Oh man, I remember those days. I swear, life gets better. The popularity contests will die down, you will get a boyfriend, and you will have your first kiss. I promise. Don't wish things away. Once they arrive, you'll wonder where they've gone.
It just so happens that I do know a bit about this. Chemical imbalances in the brain do cause clinical depression. Your brain functions through certain chemicals. In simple terms, picture these chemicals as little people running back and forth between your brain cells. If something causes a lack of chemicals (stress, genetics, etc), the chemicals cannot function normally. Messages sent between brain cells proceed slowly, and many "normal" activities seem impossible. It often affects memory, eating and sleeping habits, and the things you like and dislike. I hope that makes sense, but please understand your parents could be right. Clinical depression does not make you weird. It's just like any other health problem.
Don't feel that you have anyone here you need to please. I know, based on what you've written about your religious beliefs, that God put you here for a reason. He is the only person you need to please. No one else's opinions matter.
You haven't written since February 15th. I'm praying that you didn't let the depression get to you. Please let us know if you're still on D-land. I enjoyed your diary. You have great talent, and I could really relate to your topics. Keep you chin up, kiddo. (20/20)
Layout: It definitely was not meant to be viewed in 800x600. And while that annoys me, I can get over it. I like the pinks and the image and the general message. It seems to suit your writing quite well. (27/30)
Stalker Points: Email, notes, guestbook, guestmap, and tagboard. (10/10)
Extra Stuff: Plenty. Enough for my taste. (10/10)
Grammar: You capitalize. You don't swear. You don't have extreme grammar or spelling problems. (10/10)
Link: It's there, and it works. (10/10)
Total: (97/100)
Comments/Favorites: Just push on ahead. God will help you, and I know you know that. Good luck.
